African Capital Alliance has said that it is set to inaugurate one of the largest commercial and trading centres in the South East, the Onitsha Mall.
According to the firm, the mall, which will open for business in the first quarter of the year, will help increase the tempo of activities in the area.
The Onitsha Mall is a joint venture project between ACA and the Anambra State Government, and was designed by the international architectural firm, Ngonyama Okpanum Associates, with over 60 shops expected to cater to the needs of surrounding towns such as Obosi, Oba, Ogbaru, Nsugbe, Nkwelle, Nkpor, Ogidi and Aguleri, among others.
The firm said the facility, which was debt-funded by Diamond Bank Plc, would be the first of its kind in Anambra State, and was already at about 95 per cent completion.
“It will open for business in February 2016. Shoprite and a number of big retailers offering fashion accessories, sports equipment, banking services, telecoms and ICT software and hardware services have already secured space in the mall.
“These retailers are busy fitting out their shops in preparation for the February 2016 opening,” the firm noted in a statement.
The Real Estate Fund Manager, ACA, Mr. Obiora Nwogugu, said the mall would provide ample social, life-style and entertainment facilities for all categories of people.
“It boasts of adequate security as well as parking space, making it an ideal place to shop, entertain and meet up with friends and family.
“We have also placed a premium on the use of modern equipment and methods to ensure the safety of our shoppers,” he was quoted as saying.
