Earlier this week we here at 44isaac.wordpress.com, brought to you a report on the unizik bee farm that was being burnt ablaze from a unknown source, incase you missed the story, you can still read it HERE.
Well just like we promised we have being able to determine the cause of the fire after our indepth investigations.
The fire was caused by few labour force, (precisely fulani herdsmen) who were being hired to clear the bush around the apiary and burn it to ashes.
We were able to get an eye witness who was at the scene, and she explained to us that the labourers, gathered the cleared bushed hedges and set it on fire, but they were not able to control the fire, leaving the fire to extend beyond the area where they set for the burning of the grasses, only for it to extend and encroach into the bee farm, bringing down several bee hives to the ground.
